I purchased this meter because I was using One Touch Ultra 2 meter and I do not go through my insurance for the meter or test strips. I find both very reasonable. I then tried a True Balance meter and I immediately returned same and went right back to the Embrace It gave me more accurate readings then the other. I find I order the test strips without a prescription through Amazon without any problems and they arrive very fast. I would recommend this machine to everyone. The only problem is the beeping you can't shut it off completely.
Be advised - these strips do not fit No Code meters

Just be aware that while these strips say that they fit "all Embrace blood glucose systems" they do not work with the newer No Code meters.

I decided to purchase these strips on-line to save money for diabetes supplies. I had researched the meter and understood from the Embrace website that there was no coding involved.
When I found the strips on-line I was excited that the brand matched the meter, they were inexpensive and I could order on-line without a prescription. Seemed a little too good to be true and in fact it was.
The blood glucose test strips this company sold were not meant for the Embrace meter that I purchased. In fact, when I contacted the Omnis Health company that makes the Embrace meter I was told the strips I purchased needed coding.
A salesperson from Omnis Health was nice enough to correct the problem and said he did not know they made this type of test strip for this meter. In addition, a prescription is needed for test strips--period.
My strong advice to everyone is to not purchase these test strips and remove this company from Amazon. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
